Graphpaperの考えるサステイナブルへの考えをプロダクト化する新たな取り組み”Sustainable<(サステイナブル)”。
同プロジェクトの第一弾として製作した新作のフーディー。
岡山県の児島地区の縫製工場から回収したデニムの裁断クズとUSEDのデニム生地を再利用するため、アメリカンコットンの原綿とともに粉砕しブレンド。その後、デニムのインディゴとホワイト、原綿のエクリュとが混ざり合った、うっすらと青みを纏うように仕上がった綿を、糸に適度な空気を含ませるよう紡績し糸に。製作工程の特性上、糸自体がランダムな表情を持つため、一点一点が違った表情を持つため二つとして同じ製品は生まれないことも、この素材の特徴であり魅力の一つです。このふっくらとした質感を持つ糸を使用しながらも、今回はあえて逆説的なアプローチとしてハイゲージの編み機にかけることで、クリアな肌あたりとフラットでモダンな表情を持つ生地に仕上げました。毛羽立ちのないミニマルな質感にすることで、ブルーともグリーンとも形容できるような繊細な色味が際立ちます。素材の美しさに加え、Graphpaperのフィロソフィー投影したビッグシルエットで表現することで、身幅やアームに余白を感じる現代的な解釈を加えました。
サステイナブルである前に、まずは美しいプロダクトであることを前提として作り上げたGraphpaperのていう提案する洋服のあるべき姿。
